Sensitive Data Settings are used to select which PeopleSoft modules and pages are included in Sensitive Data Audit Reports.
Categories reflect the various Pages and Fields that contain PII/ PCI information. Mapping these together provides a comprehensive, centralized view of sensitive data access for auditing and administration purposes.
Sensitive Data Categories (Controls)
Sentinel is delivered with the following categories mapped to the commonly used pages in each PeopleSoft module:
Address, Compensation, Date of Birth, Bank Account, and SSN.
*You can modify the mapping or create new categories at any time.
Add New Categories / Edit Existing:
Navigate to Settings - Sensitive Data.
Select a PeopleSoft Pillar. (HR, FS, CS)
Click 'Add,' located at the top right.
Enter a Category Title.
Select the Category from the list; Search & Add the pages and fields containing the PII or PCI data.
Save changes.
Sensitive Data Categories are used for Audit Reports and Page Indicators for Administration.
The Sensitive Data Audit Report provides a comprehensive summary and breakdown of users with Sensitive Data access. Each control represents a category of Sensitive Data as specified in the Sensitive Data Settings.
Pages that contain Sensitive Data fields, as specified in Sensitive Data Settings, are identified with an 'SD' on the Navigation Menus. *Click the indicator to view which category of Sensitive Data the page contains.*
