# Menu Functions

### Navigation Icons and Menus

Throughout Sentinel, icons provide information and/or serve as navigation to the administration page.

The administration menu interface is interactive and displays menu, page, and access levels that are assigned to the user, role, or permission list.

{% hint style="info" %}
Click on the icons to display the underlying security information.
{% endhint %}

### Access Levels

In edit mode, the '**D, U, and C**' columns represent **Display**, **Update**, and **Correction Access**.

Gray indicates that the access comes from a role or permission. The access can only be changed by adding or removing the role or permission list.

Blue indicates [**Direct Access**](/sentinel-help-center/security-administration/direct-access.md), which can be changed directly on the menu.
