Sentinel Shortcuts [From PS]

Sentinel is accessible from PeopleSoft by adding a Sentinel shortcut as a Fluid Tile or Navigation Menu in PeopleSoft.

How to Add a Sentinel Shortcut as a Fluid Tile

In PeopleSoft, Navigate to PeopleTools - Portal - Structure and Content.

  1. Select 'Fluid Structure Content'.

  2. Select 'Fluid Pages'.

  3. Scroll down and click 'Add Folder'.

  4. Input 'SENTINEL_FOLDER' in Name, and 'Sentinel Pages' in Label.

  5. Save changes.

Once complete, Navigate to Root - Fluid Structure Content- Fluid Pages - Sentinel Pages.

  1. Click 'Add Content Reference', located at the bottom of the page. Input the following: Name - SNT_DASHBOARD Label - Sentinel Fluid Mode - Select box Target - Usage Type

  2. Under URL Information, input the following: URL TYPE - Non-PeopleSoft URL Portal URL - Copy and paste your Sentinel URL.

  3. Save changes.

Fluid Tile - Content Reference Security

On the Security tab, you can add a Permission List that provides access to the Sentinel shortcut. You can select 'public' for testing purposes. The tile must still be added to a homepage.

The shortcut is only a link to Sentinel. The user must have a Sentinel user account to log in.

How to Add Sentinel to Your PeopleSoft Homepage

In PeopleSoft, Navigate to the homepage.

  1. Select the 'Menu' icon, located at the top right, and click 'Personalized Homepage'.

  2. Select your desired homepage, located on the left menu.

  3. Click 'Add Tile', located in the top right.

  4. Select 'Sentinel Pages' and click 'Sentinel'.

  5. Save changes.

The user must have a Sentinel user account to log in and will remain logged in while the session is active.
